Thankful for...

...the end being in sight. I have one last big meeting tonight, and then we're down to the normal meeting for the school year. I still have to finish another big project, but we've already made inroads, so I'm feeling good. *whew*

...the upcoming three-day weekend -- I can't wait for some sleep! I slept through my alarm this morning, and as a result, I was rushing around all over the place. (The kids did make the bus, however -- another thing to be thankful for).

...all my wonderful writing friends -- thank you SO much for your thoughts and insights this week. It's given me a ton to work with, and I feel like I have a clearer picture of what the query should be -- THANK YOU!

...a cooler morning. Not cool enough for a sweat shirt or anything, but it makes me think we might actually see fall :)

...Autumn, fall...my favorite time of year. I can't wait to start the color watch, and the possibilities for pictures are calling out to me. In fact, I'm hoping to make the annual Mt. Evans run this weekend (which will be a week earlier than usual, so maybe we'll get all the way to the top)!

...September -- my favorite month in my favorite season :) Let the good times roll!

I am sooooo ready to need a sweatshirt. :)

It's been in the 100's here almost every day this summer. Craziness....

We had a wet beginning to our summer, so things were still really green even through mid-July...but August has been boiling hot, and everything is brown and gasping now.

It's fall here. Today. Suddenly. It has been 90+, and suddenly the high today is only 67! We don't have to be sweating hot all the time, but whatever happened to seasonal temperature changes??

Hehe...it's supposed to be dramatically cooler here this weekend. Today, it's still 90+, and the 'cooler' feel of this morning is long gone.

I love autumn, too. I think October may be my favorite month, though. Can't wait to smell the scent of burning leaves!

We don't get burning leaves here, but I really need to visit somewhere that has them someday -- I've heard about that smell from numerous sources, and I'd love to experience it for myself :) In CO, September is the month of the golden aspens, so that shot it to the top of my list from a very young age!
