Four on Friday...

1. Even with four and a half days left of break (including the weekend), we're all wishing it was longer. ;)

2. D got to ride his new bike this morning. It's definitely more what he needed, and I think he'll enjoy riding more now. E is playing with her video-cam and also enjoying herself. It's always nice when you see your kiddos happy with their new 'toys.'

3. We finally took down the Christmas tree yesterday, and we'll spend the weekend cleaning (yippee)...but then, our house will look like a home again instead of a disaster area, right?

4. I'm trying to find the motivation to begin revising my NaNo novel...I just need to get back into that mindset, I think. Maybe when school starts again (of course, then I'll have no time, ha).

Happy first weekend of 2013!

In my world the kids go back on 1-2/2013 but get a week in Feb and one in April...have to plan my trips to avoid SVW (school vaca weeks).

It's fun to have the holiday decorations up, but there's something equally nice about taking them down again. Not the process itself, mind you (I hate that, lol) but the return to "normalcy," whatever that means. A clearing of passageways, I guess, in order to allow the New Year in...

Really nice to hear that you wish winter break was longer--so many moms can't wait to send the kids back to school. D & E are lucky to have a mom who likes having them around :)

It's always good to see that the Christmas presents were a success. :)

We're keeping our tree for another week, but we didn't put it up until the 23. December, so we're not tired of it yet and it hasn't lossed one needle yet either. :)

Ohhh, a real tree :) We always had real trees when I was little, but soon after we got married, we got a fake tree (because of the cat, actually).
