Four on Friday...

1. We had our hottest day of August/September on Weds, and today, it's in the 50s...and damp. Brrr. I'd love something in between ;)

2. It always seems like Labor Day is the true end of summer break, even though we had two weeks of school before then. But now, the kiddos are settling in, I'm slowly readjusting to my work schedule, and vacation is over. *sigh* Still, the change in seasons (both physical and mental) is what keeps us going, no?

3. Our first true football weekend is here -- both D's team and the Broncos' home opener. I imagine I'll be all football-ed out by late Sunday night (um, not that I'll actually watch the Broncos game...I'll be reading or some such thing, ha).

4. I've read two books in the last two days -- which is encouraging, because I've also been busy with work. Of course, what I haven't done much of is write...so now, that will be my next challenge. ;)

First weekend in September -- what will you be doing?

I think your weather is headed towards us. The next three days are supposed to be in the high 70s and gorgeous. Then, it drops to the 50s (and even 40s!) for the foreseeable future. Ack! Where is that season that's supposed to fit between summer and winter??

That's kind of what happened here last year...I'm really hoping it doesn't happen again! Tomorrow is supposed to be sunny again (and low 80s), but I'm not holding my breath. Today was supposed to be sunny too, and we haven't seen a hint yet!

Summer went by too fast and now we have finally started school here as well. The strik ended Monday and Tuesday was the real start of the school year.

This weekend we'll have some quiet time, Sunday night I travel for work to be ready bright and early Monday morning. I hate that!

:( I'd have a hard time traveling for work too -- obviously, I suppose, since I work from home. I hope it's a nice weekend, despite the ending! (And I'm glad the school strike has ended -- what a mess!)
