My 20th high school reunion is tomorrow night, and I can't wait! I enjoyed my 10th very much. It was so neat to see all these people who'd been in different places when we were teens, but then we were slowly becoming more alike, more equal. And for the 20th, I think that will be even more the case.
It'll be fun for me, too, because my dh and I attended the same high school and graduated the same year. But we didn't know each other. He was a jock and I was a geek. He was one of the 'in' crowd and I wasn't. He was a football player and I didn't attend a single game (which I now regret -- wish I could've seen him play). Anyway, we weren't together for our 10th, though that's where we began to get back in touch with each other again.
All of his friends know about us because they're all still friends (which amazes me all the time). But I've lost touch with all of my high school friends, and they might be a little surprised ;)
The thing I'm looking forward to most? Just hearing about my old friends, hearing about their lives, their children, their dreams, their joys. There are two I especially hope to see -- I'll be pretty disappointed if they're not attending. Karen and David. We started our schooling journey together in the 4th grade...and if they're in attendance, maybe this time we'll keep in touch better. I hope so.
