For those of you who happened to Google your title and ended up here, please know that one star is not a bad thing in Robin's world -- just the fact the I picked up your book and started it means that somewhere it's getting good buzz (or that your blurb was really cool). 'R' means it's a re-read.
* I didn't make it beyond the first 20 pages.
** I made it to the end, but I either skimmed or skipped large sections.
*** I might have skipped/skimmed, but I liked it and will read it again.
**** I read at least 95% of the book and it was good.
***** I read every word, and I loved it!
Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, by JK Rowling R ***** Yep, I'm going through these again. I think I forgot to include the two before this -- I seldom reread book one, btw. Never liked it much ;) But the others I love!
Now You See Her, by Jacquelyn Mitchard * I picked this up because I've read The Deep End of the Ocean by Mitchard and thought she might do well at YA...but it wasn't for me. Just a little too bizarre, I think (the MC and her identity crisis).
Streams of Babel, by Carol Plum-Ucci *** Great premise, and one thread of the story I liked a lot...didn't really enjoy the whole hacker part, though (nor did I really get any of that). The ending fell a little flat for me, but it was still okay.
