Book Reports (61-64)...

For those of you who happened to Google your title and ended up here, please know that one star is not a bad thing in Robin's world -- just the fact the I picked up your book and started it means that somewhere it's getting good buzz (or that your blurb was really cool). 'R' means it's a re-read.

* I didn't make it beyond the first 20 pages.
** I made it to the end, but I either skimmed or skipped large sections.
*** I might have skipped/skimmed, but I liked it and will read it again.
**** I read at least 95% of the book and it was good.
***** I read every word, and I loved it!

Blood Sins, by Kay Hooper ** I do like Kay Hooper, but her books are often hit or miss with me. This one was just a little too creepy for my personal taste, I think. (Adult suspense)

20 Boy Summer, by Sarah Ockler ****+ Okay, if I wasn't such a wuss, this would definitely get five stars -- but it was so sad! In a good way, of course, because really, by the end, I did feel that Anna and Frankie would be okay. A beautiful story of friendship and love and dealing with tragedy. (YA, releases 6/09)

sprout, by Dale Peck ***+ I liked Sprout (the MC); but man, there was so much difficulty in this book. I guess I like my rose-colored glasses...still, I'm glad I read it. (upper YA, GLBT, releases 6/09)

Fairy Tale, by Cyn Balog **** This is a lovely story -- and I have to say, my favorite part of the book is the last chapter. A perfect ending (imo) -- thanks, cyn2write!
