I'm an extroverted introvert (ha!) -- which simply means that I can talk to strangers and chat with a group of people (even making small talk) and stand before a large group and give a speech. However, as all those personality tests usually mention, in order to recharge my batteries, I need alone time. That's not easy to find as a SAHM (during summer break, to boot).
My son mentioned last week (when I sent him off to 'quiet time'), that he gets lonely while he's in his room from 90-120 minutes. I thought he was kidding, but then I realized he was serious! Clearly, he's not an introvert (at least at this point in his life). He likes that interaction with others -- he gets energy from it.
My husband is like this, as well. The few times he's left with the kiddos while I get to be alone, he will let them stay up extra late and get up extra early (if he's awake) -- all because he doesn't like to be 'alone' or by himself.
What about you? Do you prefer alone time to reenergize and reboot? Or do people add energy to your life when you're down?
