The rush...?

So I posted on Verla's about the end of the year rush -- you know, this time of year when so many editors and agents want to clean their desks so they can begin the new year fresh?

It hasn't begun yet, for me. Today was another no mail day, by e- or snail. I keep reminding myself that it doesn't matter that much. But as I revise AG, I'm realizing that I'd like to hear back from the agents, at least, so I can query them on it :) Patience, grasshopper, heh.

In other news, I took the kiddos' pix today for our Christmas cards. And I realized I'd better get cracking on all the Christmas projects I was planning to make (eek).

What kinds of things do you do to prepare for the new year? Anything special (in writing or life)?

43707 / 50000 words. 87% done!

AG stands a very good chance of breaking the 50K mark -- we'll see if I get it all done this week (I'm not pushing myself, however. In all honesty, though I enjoy the push in goal-setting NaNo gives me, I don't really care when I get the words as long as I have a finished book to show for it!).
