Tolle Tuesday...

The primary cause of unhappiness is never the situation but your thoughts about it...Be aware that what you think, to a large extent, creates the emotions that you feel.

I definitely need this today. I posted a private (for me, only) rant earlier -- too whiny to really put up. My thoughts definitely alter my perception, and feeling sorry for myself (over something pretty minor, I might add) is not helping. So from here on out (today, or maybe even the next hour), I'm going to try and 'open the shutters', as Tolle mentions in this same chapter -- let the sunshine in.

Have you seen times when your thoughts have directed your emotions? What do you use to combat that?
