e looking into distance

Deep breath...

Today marks the start of a crazy ten days (actually, only 8 of the 10 are crazy, but they're mixed into the craziness). It's also the start of first-draft week, ironically. It's funny how these things seem to align sometimes. The good news is that I'm attempting to carve out a little 'me' time -- tomorrow, in fact. I'm meeting one of my best friends for lunch, and then we're doing a little shopping together (we both got some great coupons from the same store -- yay!).

Other than that, I will be spending these next days moving between my computer, school (numerous times a day, I might add), basketball practice/pictures/games, piano lessons, and more computer time. Plus, 8 of the 10 evenings are also filled (usually with basketball stuff), so not a lot of down time.

I suspect most of us get through times like these by simply looking only at the next moment -- which is what I'm attempting to do. I have three hours to get through some stuff this morning, with another 1.5 hours this afternoon -- it'll have to be enough.

Happy Thursday -- how do you find serenity in the midst of the madness?
