Book Reports (55-58) ...

Because I've had trouble keeping up with my reading, I'm going to change my book report style a bit. Now I'm aiming to write reviews on Goodreads and simply post the link here. But I'm also going to change my star system:

* = Just not for me
** = Interesting premise but not engaging enough to complete
*** = Okay; didn't love but liked enough to finish (or at least skim)
**** = Good; liked the writing style and/or the plot enough to stick with it
***** = Loved; will definitely keep and/or re-read

[Even If We Break, by Marieke Nijkamp -- YA thriller -- five teens visit a mountain cabin to play one last RPG game, but only three make it out alive.]

[All Eyes on Her, by L.E. Flynn -- YA thriller -- Tabby's and Mark's last date (where he died/was murdered?), their relationship, and the months after Mark's death are examined through the lens of those teens who knew them all best (or so they believe).]

The Shadow Wand, by Laurie Forest -- YA fantasy (3rd in a quartet) -- Elloren is continuing to learn her skills to defeat Vogel and his evil minions (ha). [Note: Nothing much happened in this book, despite its length, other than love-triangle stuff that made me very unhappy.]

Gone Too Far, by Natalie Richards -- YA thriller -- Piper feels horrible when popular girl Stella is humiliated by her peers and then commits suicide, but how far is she willing to go to get revenge on those who have always gotten away with cruelty?

(Tons of YA lately ...)
