Book Reports (4-6) ...

Because I've had trouble keeping up with my reading, I'm going to change my book report style a bit. Now I'm aiming to write reviews on Goodreads and simply post the link here. But I'm also going to change my star system:

* = Just not for me
** = Interesting premise but not engaging enough to complete
*** = Okay; didn't love but liked enough to finish (or at least skim)
**** = Good; liked the writing style and/or the plot enough to stick with it
***** = Loved; will definitely keep and/or re-read

Spooky Business, by S.E. Harmon -- male/male paranormal romantic suspense -- Rain has agreed to do a favor for the FBI and talk with a serial killer who claims that he didn't kill his wife (even though he killed many other women); Rain 'meets' a new a seemingly more dangerous ghost along the way and must figure out how to handle the new challenges while also solving the cold cases.

The Shadow Box, by Luanne Rice -- adult suspense -- when Claire is beaten and left for dead, she's determined to survive and prove to the world that her husband Griffin (who is running for governor) tried to kill her (while also not alerting him to her survival).

Don't Make a Sound, by T.R. Ragan -- adult mystery/suspense -- Sawyer returns to her home town for her grandma's funeral and uncovers more brutal secrets than expected (including those within her own family and past).

(I also had a couple of re-reads mixed in here, but I'll stick to first reads for now. :) )
