...despite the blizzard-like conditions, we drove the kiddos across town to my parents', and then we went to Costco (where I got some chocolate goodies, along with a ton of other groceries) and out to eat (where we were one of three couples braving the storm -- made for a romantic experience and a strong feeling of being catered to -- plus, the food was delicious).
...we slept in (ah, heaven), DH shoveled a bit more, and then we went to breakfast (brunch, really), went to a movie (Tailor, Tinker, Soldier, Spy -- not a great movie, in our opinion), went to the bookstore (to find the LeCarre book the movie was based on and see if it helped -- it didn't much -- but we each got a book), and went out for dinner.
...we had brunch at my parents' and picked up the kiddos. They had a great time, and it was really nice having a peaceful house all to ourselves -- win-win!
...I had a lovely afternoon with jennifer_d_g. Then I spent ~ an hour with neighbors for the end of the Super Bowl (where the rest of the fam was). We watched The Voice, read some, wrote DH a sappy e-card (hehe), and finally went to bed.
All in all, a full and satisfying weekend -- hope yours was just as good!
