* I didn't make it beyond the first 20 pages.
** I made it to the end, but I either skimmed or skipped large sections.
*** I might have skipped/skimmed, but I liked it and might read it again.
**** I read at least 95% of the book and it was good -- probably will be reread.
***** I read every word, and I loved it! A favorite and definite reread.
This year, I'm only going to list the stars and a brief recommendation for the type of readers I think will enjoy the book [(R) means it's a re-read; means it's an ARC].
Seize Today, by Pintip Dunn -- highly recommended for those who read the rest of the trilogy, those who like sci-fi (time-travel) suspense, and those who like sweet romance -- Entangled Teen, 10/17
Twelve, by Jennifer Lynn Barnes -- highly recommended for those who liked The Naturals series, those who like novellas, and those who want to see more of these characters -- Disney/Hyperion, 11/17
Last Seen Leaving, by Caleb Roehrig -- highly recommended for those who like YA suspense/mysteries, those who like unique teen characters, and those who enjoy YA romance (GLBT, in this case) -- Feiwel & Friends, 10/16
[White Rabbit, by Caleb Roehrig -- highly recommended for all the reasons above :D -- Feiwel & Friends, 4/18]
[Six Little Secrets</i>, by Katlyn Duncan -- recommended for those who like multi-POV, those who like YA mysteries, and those who like intriguing teen interactions -- Kindle, 11/17]
I'm so far behind on my book reports that I'm not going to go into great detail here -- aside from a quick recommendation: read Caleb Roehrig's books! I really like his style and his complex characters. :) I'll definitely be keeping my eyes open for him in years to come.
