Book Reports (64-68) ...

Because I've had trouble keeping up with my reading, I'm going to change my book report style a bit. Now I'm aiming to write reviews on Goodreads and simply post the link here. But I'm also going to change my star system:

* = Just not for me
** = Interesting premise but not engaging enough to complete
*** = Okay; didn't love but liked enough to finish (or at least skim)
**** = Good; liked the writing style and/or the plot enough to stick with it
***** = Loved; will definitely keep and/or re-read

[The Love Study, by Kris Ripper -- NA/Adult GLBTQ+ romance -- Declan's claim to fame (leaving his fiance at the altar) has followed him thru his 20s, and perhaps that's why he agrees to help out Sidney, a nonbinary vlogger, with his 'love study.']

The Extraordinaries, by TJ Klune -- YA superhero with gay romance -- Nick's crush on Shadow Star gets tested when he also develops feelings for his best friend Seth, and when Shadow Star's rivalry with his nemesis reaches a little too close to home, Nick has to decide the path he will follow, regardless of the consequences.

Hidden, by Laura Griffin -- adult mystery/suspense -- Bailey is looking for the next big journalistic break and seems to have found it in the death of Jane Doe along a popular hiking trail; Jacob, a detective, is puzzled at the lack of evidence at the scene, and when things take a federal turn, he and Bailey team up (reluctantly) to reveal a technological intrusion with chilling consequences.

Hideaway, by Nora Roberts -- adult contemporary mystery/drama -- Cait is kidnapped during her great grandfather's memorial gathering, and although she escapes, the incident determines her life's path for many years.

Heartstopper series, by Alice Oseman -- YA graphic LGBTQ+ romance/contemporary -- A look at Charlie's and Nick's relationship from the day when Charlie befriends Nick until Nick realizes his own deeper feelings for Charlie

I've also re-read a few other Laura Griffin books, but I won't put them here. :)
