Book Reports (30-37) ...

Because I've had trouble keeping up with my reading, I'm going to change my book report style a bit. Now I'm aiming to write reviews on Goodreads and simply post the link here. But I'm also going to change my star system:

* = Just not for me
** = Interesting premise but not engaging enough to complete
*** = Okay; didn't love but liked enough to finish (or at least skim)
**** = Good; liked the writing style and/or the plot enough to stick with it
***** = Loved; will definitely keep and/or re-read

The Murder Between Us, by Tal Bauer -- male/male romantic suspense -- Noah gives in to his curiosity and has a one-night stand in Vegas, but on rushing back to the real world to catch a serial killer, his hook-up reappears as the FBI profiler.

Tic-Tac Mistletoe, by N.R. Walker -- m/m romance -- Hamish flies in from Australia to spend two years reconnecting with his younger sister when a blizzard redirects his flight, and he ends up renting a car to drive through snow (which he's never even seen before) and running off the road ... to be rescued by Ren, who also lets him stay with him only two days before Christmas in a small Montana town.

My Winter Family, by Raleigh Ruebins -- m/m romance -- Emmett hooks up with Ryan at a wedding, only to learn Ryan has a daughter, something outside Emmett's comfort zone; Ryan, however, senses something in Emmett that he wants, and he doesn't let up.

Champagne Kiss, by Raleigh Ruebins -- m/m romance -- Andy meets Chase when Chase delivers flowers to Andy's mini mart, and the two start a relationship (despite Chase being in the closet).

Jumping Jude, by Lucy Lennox -- m/m romance -- Jude is tired of being in the spotlight and feeling like he has to hide his sexuality, but falling for his bodyguard was never part of the plan.

Grounding Griffin, by Lucy Lennox -- m/m romance -- Griffin is working on an article (about how pet names impact pick-ups) and has been using the bar where Sam works as bartender as his resource -- but Sam doesn't know Griffin's doing this for work and feels a combination of jealousy and concern at watching an attractive man pick up anyone and everyone right before his eyes.

Sanctuary Found, by Sloane Kennedy -- m/m romantic mystery -- Maddox knows from the second he meets Isaac that he needs to protect the young man, but Isaac's past is more complicated than he expects.

The Truth Within, by Sloane Kennedy -- m/m romantic suspense (kind of) -- Ford knows that his family is corrupt, especially his brother, but finding the strength to break way from their abuse and suppression is more than he can do ... until Camden comes to town and continually shows Ford he believes in him.
