Book reports...

I'm jumping on the book report wagon here. Mostly for my own info -- but I'm making up my own wacky rating system, just in case anyone actually cares how I read :) I'll put this with each of my reports. This will be the longest, as I'm starting from the first of the new year.

For those of you who happened to Google your title and ended up here, please know that one star is not a bad thing in Robin's world -- just the fact the I picked up your book and started it means that somewhere it's getting good buzz (or that your blurb was really cool). 'R' means it's a re-read.

* I didn't make it beyond the first 20 pages.
** I made it to the end, but I either skimmed or skipped large sections.
*** I might have skipped/skimmed, but I liked it and will read it again.
**** I read at least 95% of the book and it was good.
***** I read every word, and I loved it!

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix R *****
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince R *****

Lucifer's Hammer, Larry Niven ****(This is a great book if you're a disaster junky, like me)

In the Serpent's Coils, Tiffany Trent *** (I actually liked the last quarter of this book very much -- I've already started the sequel, and I'm suspecting it'll get five stars on my weird system)

A Crooked Kind of Perfect, Linda Urban **** (If I was a MG person, I would be all over this book!)

Saving Cascadia, John Nance * (Meh. I might try again later)
