* I didn't make it beyond the first 20 pages.
** I made it to the end, but I either skimmed or skipped large sections.
*** I might have skipped/skimmed, but I liked it and will read it again.
**** I read at least 95% of the book and it was good.
***** I read every word, and I loved it!
The Stand, by Stephen King ** Yeah, I didn't like this one as much as I thought I would. The TV version was actually more my style -- King's writing is very gritty in places, and I'm not much of a gritty reader. And man, this sucker's long! I may try it again someday, you never know.
The Rift, by ...oops, I'll have to look it up. ** I made it over 500 pages, but then I just couldn't deal anymore. It's a disaster tale, which is cool, but honestly it was a little too real for me ;)
Woman Without A Past, by Phyllis Whitney, R **** I like her books (both mg and adult), and this is one that I own and reread every couple of years.
Amanda, by Kay Hooper, R **** This is a fun one because of its resemblance to The Ivy Tree by Mary Stewart.
The Squad, by Jennifer Lynn Barnes ***** (both books) -- Okay, I really liked these :) I love the whole premise -- it makes me giggle, and the pacing was excellent. I read them while exercising, and the time just flew by. Thanks, Jen!
